Overview
Thailand operates a modest drone fleet sourced primarily from China and Israel, with growing domestic industry capabilities. The Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTAF) use drones for border surveillance (Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia borders), counter-insurgency in the deep south (Pattani/Yala/Narathiwat), and maritime patrol. Thailand's Defence Technology Institute (DTI) is developing indigenous systems including the Alpha drone family.
